Forecast is committed to advancing the transformational power of arts in public life. We’re excited to share our vision for the future that will significantly impact the quality of public life in Minnesota and beyond!
Here are just some of the things we plan to accomplish over the next few years:
- Build the next generation of public art consultants to serve communities throughout the country with skill and expertise. Our focus while doing this will be on increasing the number of people of color and indigenous people who are leaders in the field.
- Introduce on-demand publications, including an annual Forecast trend watch, and launch a robust website with responsive resources on topics that matter—affordable housing, urban planning, racial equity, resilient communities, and more.
- Build a roster of artists who represent diverse backgrounds, disciplines and perspectives that cities can draw from across the country, thus fueling support for local artists.
- Pilot NEW approaches to our work to share nationally. Already underway is our pilot project in partnership with the American Planning Association to create a toolkit for city planners, and our new District Arts Partnership in St. Paul, MN funded by the Knight Foundation.
Together we make public art happen—connecting the needs and opportunities of communities with the energies and talents of artists. We hope you will help make this vision a reality and support Forecast as we continue to grow, evolve, and dream BIG.
