NEW YORK, NY (2013) – To celebrate the centennial of Grand Central Terminal in New York, Chicago-based artist Nick Cave launched HEARD•NY, an installation-and-performance piece featuring sixty dancers from The Ailey School dressed in wearable mixed-medium sculptures, or “Soundsuits,” that transformed the dancers into a herd of multi-colored horses. Twice per day between March 25 and 31, the herd of 30 life-size horses “grazed” and performed specially choreographed movements to the accompaniment of live music, transforming Grand Central Terminal into a stage.

HEARD•NY was presented by Creative Time and MTA Arts for Transit.
