A heartfelt thank you to Sarah McClure, Forecast’s outgoing Development Manager

Sarah has been an essential and integral part of the Forecast family for over five years. A fantastic writer and thinker, Sarah led grant-writing, major communications efforts, event planning, and individual giving efforts with patience, optimism and style.

She helped lead and implement many crucial plans during important and challenging times, including the launch of the Director’s Circle, a group of donors whose generosity supported leadership change at a critical time in the organization’s life cycle. A major driver behind our annual breakfast, Sarah brought in hundreds of new donors to Forecast whose gifts launched major new initiatives like the Change Lab and the Public Art for Racial Justice Fund. She also led the rebranding of the organization and the redesign of the website, bringing a fresh perspective and mission-driven voice to our work. During the pandemic, Sarah created and managed the first focused fundraising campaign to bring mini-grants directly to artists during a critical time. Sarah also designed and created our new annual Reports to the Community—the organization’s first ever annual reports.

With every project she touched, Sarah’s exceptional organization and calm authenticity led the way. Her ability to see the big picture while managing small details has been crucial to our organizational success. We all wish the best for Sarah in her future endeavors and are incredibly grateful for her countless contributions to artists and community!
