Here at Forecast we’re doubling our celebration as a proud ArtPlace partner. Over the last year we collaborated with the ArtPlace team to map out how to tell its story, and contracted the writers, editors, designer, digital platform, and printer to produce it. Through all the challenges of 2020, we worked side by side with ArtPlace to get this publication to their Summit on time.

Established in 2010 as a 10-year entity “to amplify the power of the arts in building healthy, equitable, and sustainable communities,” ArtPlace did something that had never been done before. It brought together a range of private philanthropy into coordinated partnership, then funded nearly 300 creative placemaking, placekeeping, and placetending initiatives across the country. ArtPlace America is sunsetting at the end of this year.

We encourage you to read ArtPlace: 10 Years to learn more.

Our heartfelt congratulations to the ArtPlace team and its philanthropic partners. You wrote a new story for philanthropy and you made history. We appreciate all you’ve done to support creative efforts by and within communities across the nation.
