FARGO PUBLIC ART MASTER PLAN

FARGO, ND

Forecast led development of a city-wide, participatory public art master plan to reinforce and amplify the City of Fargo’s role as a cultural hub. Guided by the belief that public art is a component of a vibrant, livable community, the city’s Arts and Culture Commission worked with Forecast to shape a plan that garners public and private support through partnerships, is inclusive and reflective of increasing cultural diversity in the region, and supports local and regional talent of all levels. City commissioners overwhelmingly approved the plan, which now is providing a clear and robust roadmap and ways to measure positive impact. View the full plan here.

THE ARTERY

HOPKINS, MN

The planned LRT station linking the City of Hopkins, MN, with Excelsior presents a rare opportunity to establish a new kind of cultural district for Hopkins. Forecast joined a team of planning, architecture and engineering consultants to design a community art summit and develop a vision for the “ARTery,” an appealing streetscape corridor that can help build the city’s creative economy. Through the planning process, key design criteria were established to ensure both social and economic success, and a finance and implementation plan was developed.
