Mosaic Sculpture
Daniela Bianchini is looking to expand her public art practice and pivot more in the direction of sculptures. With this grant, she will study and develop the skills necessary to create a ferrocement sculpture that will later be decorated with mosaics. Creating her own substrates will open up a world of possibilities for her mosaic work.
Daniela Bianchini is a mosaic artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina and moved to the United States at a young age. She has dedicated her artistic practice to mosaics and public art. Her work can be found in many different cities of Minnesota. Her work is often site specific and it tends to interpret and represent the community or environment that surrounds it. Daniela is very passionate about composing mosaic works of art. She dives into the process of creating for endless hours. Her commitment to expand the possibilities of mosaic art drives her artistic career.
